Everything You Need to Know About 2024 Ferrari Model Range. The Ultimate Ferrari Buyers Guide, With Prices, Specs, Reviews As Well As Our Opinion On the Good & Bad from Ferrari This Year

  • Updated: February 1, 2024

  • Contents: Model List / Models In Depth / Best of 2024

By marque car brand standards, Ferrari has had a stellar few years, despite the global pandemic. It has consistently sold over 12,000 cars per year since 2020, which for a supercar company is moving a lot of engineering and carbon fiber out the factory door every day.

The biggest news for the Prancing Horse brand in 2024, has to be the success of its first-ever SUV. Ferrari arrived late to the performance SUV party but better late than never. After all, it had earlier sworn never to deviate from its supercar heritage. The SUV dubbed the Purosangue entered the market as a direct rival to the wildly successful Lamborghini Urus and Aston Martin DBX "SuperSUVs"

Returnees to the 2024 roster remain fundamentally unchanged, with such models as the Portofino M, Roma, 296 GTS and GTB, 812 GTS, and SF90 Stradale, each bringing their unique flair and interpretations of the Ferrari experience to the table. Newer cars include the SF90 Spider and Roma Spider, as well as the 2024 special series SF90XX Stradale and Spider cars, the first XX series cars to be road legal.

2024 Ferrari Models

The 2024 Ferrari lineup has been pruned in comparison to previous years, but still covers almost every part of the niche performance car segment. At one end is the 'GT-style' Roma with everyday drivability and all the way up to the hardcore 812 GTS and SF90 hybrid hypercar at the other end of the spectrum. The 2024 Purosangue SUV has started deliveries, competitively priced at $393,350 in the SuperSUV market .

2024 Ferrari Model Updates

The Ferrari 812 Superfast has been discontinued, but its spirit lives on in the top spec 812 GTS. The F8 Tributo coupe and its Spider version, despite the short run of only 3 years, has also been discontinued. Replacing the F8 is the all new performance hybrid 296, in both GTB coupe and GTS targa-roof configurations. Lastly, 2024 has seen the arrival of the Purosangue, Ferrari's first ever SuperSUV.

Ferrari 2024 Model List: Current Lineup, Prices, & Reviews (6)

2024 Ferrari 812 GTS

  • Base price: US$429,815

  • Engine: 6.5L naturally aspirated V12

  • Power: 789 hp @ 8,500 rpm

  • Torque: 530 lb-ft @ 7,000 rpm

  • 0-60 mph: 2.8 s

  • 0-124 mph: 8.3 s

  • Top Speed: 211 mph

The V12 is a disappearing breed, but thankfully, Ferrari still offers an 'as yet' unspoiled version with the 812 GTS. It is described as a Grand Tourer, but this is a cruiser unlike nothing else on the market. The curvaceous Italian body is built around a V12 powerplant that generates a whopping 789 hp. It features a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, advanced active aerodynamics and four-wheel steering. However, the best part is the electronically controlled retractable hardtop, offering unfiltered access to bellow of its incredible V12 heart.

2024 Ferrari SF90 Stradale

  • Base price: US$524,815

  • Engine: 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8, plus 3 electric motors

  • Power: 986 bhp (combined)

  • Torque: 590 lb-ft (V8 engine)

  • 0-60 mph: 2.5 s

  • 0-124 mph: 6.7 s

  • Top Speed: 211 mph

The SF90 Stradale is the most powerful road car to wear the Prancing Horse badge. The hybrid hypercar utilizes a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 combustion engine paired with three electric motors. Two electric motors are mounted on the front axle, and the third one is mounted between the engine and the gearbox. The combined maximum output is a staggering 989 hp, good enough for a 2.5-second sprint to 60 mph. The car is bristling with new technology, one of which is the two-piece rear wing, derived from the company's participation in Formula One racing.

2024 Ferrari SF90 Spider

  • Base price: US$575,445

  • Engine: 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8, plus 3 electric motors

  • Power: 989 hp (combined)

  • Torque: 590 lb-ft

  • 0-60 mph: 2.5 s

  • 0-124 mph: 6.7 s

  • Top Speed: 211 mph

The roadster version of the SF90 Stradale retains many of the specs found in the coupe. The highlight is the retractable hardtop, made of aluminum. It helps shave about 88 pounds over other more conventional hardtops. The cover can be lowered in 14 seconds and operated when the car is motionless or cruising or at low speeds. A powered rear window can be raised to provide some wind protection when the top is down. That's in addition to a central trim piece between the seats that channels air away from the occupants.

2024 Ferrari Portofino M

  • Base price: US$246,102

  • Engine: 3.9L twin-turbocharged V8

  • Power: 612 hp @ 7,500 rpm

  • Torque: 561 lb-ft @ 3,000 rpm

  • 0-60 mph: 3.1 s

  • 0-124 mph: 10.8 s

  • Top Speed: 199 mph

The Ferrari Portofino was a superb 2+2 car for the Prancing Horse, but was discontinued a few years back. However, it proved so popular with Ferrari customers that they decided to continue the top-spec version of the car, the Portofino M. While it is one of the two grand touring cars that come from Maranello, with the 612-hp twin-turbocharged V8 under the hood it is also a supercar in every sense of the word. It remains the only "four seater" open top GT on the Ferrari model line, despite the fact that the rear seats are more of a cargo shelf than actual passenger seats.

2024 Ferrari Roma

  • Base price: US$247,310

  • Engine: 3.9L twin-turbocharged V8

  • Power: 612 hp @ 7,500 rpm

  • Torque: 561 lb-ft @ 3,000 rpm

  • 0-60 mph: 3.2 s

  • 0-124 mph: 9.3 s

  • Top Speed: 199 mph

The Roma was the fifth Ferrari model introduced in 2019. The 'baby' Ferrari is in direct competition with cars like the Aston Martin DB11 (and they share a disturbing similarity {cough}), Bentley Continental GT and McLaren GT. It is more than capable of holding its own, though. It boasts a stunning design highlighted by a sleek profile and distinctive grille. The high-tech cabin is a Ferrari tech-fest, with the large digital instrument cluster dominating the dashboard. The Roma is fitted with a 3.9L twin-turbocharged V8 engine that makes 612 hp and 560 lb-ft of torque.

2024 Ferrari Roma Spider

  • Base price: US$260,000 (est)

  • Engine: 3.9L twin-turbocharged V8

  • Power: 612 hp @ 7,500 rpm

  • Torque: 561 lb-ft @ 3,000 rpm

  • 0-60 mph: 3.2 s

  • 0-124 mph: 9.3 s

  • Top Speed: 199 mph

As with many Ferrari models, after the coupe version of a car has settled into the market, a Spider (convertible/cabriolet) version will eventually pop up. For the Ferrari Roma, its Spider version has appeared for the 2024 model year, and is currently in production of its first orders, with deliveries expected later in the year. It retains all of the functionality and tech of the base Roma, but adds a high-quality cloth folding roof and a flying buttress-style tonneau cover. The roof will open and/or close in under 14 seconds, and features a full glass rear window. Probably the best part about the Spider, as it is with most drop-top supercars, is that you'll be able to hear the song of the twin-turbo V8 all the better, and the sky is literally the limit when it comes to headroom.

2024 Ferrari 296 GTB

  • Base price: US$338,255

  • Engine: Twin-turbo V6 plug-in hybrid powertrain

  • Power: 819 hp (Combined output)

  • Torque: 546 lb-ft (Turbocharged V6 engine)

  • 0-60 mph: 2.8 s

  • 0-124 mph: 7.3 s

  • Top Speed: >205 mph

The 296 GTB is one of the newest models to wear the Prancing Horse logo. It also happens to be the first Ferrari-badged road car with a V6 and Ferrari's first RWD hybrid. The plug-in hybrid supercar will compete for a market slice alongside cars like the Huracan, McLaren Artura and the Maserati MC20. The turbocharged V6 unit on its own produces 654 hp, and aided by the electric motors, that number swells out to a thumping 818 hp. For reference, that is the the same power output as the hardcore 812 Competizione! The motors also provide an all-electric 15.5-mile driving range for when you feel like having a silent cruise through the city streets.

Ferrari 2024 Model List: Current Lineup, Prices, & Reviews (13)

2024 Ferrari 296 GTS

  • Base price: US$367,189

  • Engine: Twin-turbo V6 plug-in hybrid powertrain

  • Power: 819 hp (Combined output)

  • Torque: 546 lb-ft (Turbocharged V6 engine)

  • 0-60 mph: 2.8 s

  • 0-124 mph: 7.3 s

  • Top Speed: >205 mph

The 296 GTS has already proven to be a worthy successor to cars such as the 488 and the F8, and as with many of the mid-engine models from Ferrari, a GTS, or "Berlinetta Spider" version with a removable targa-style roof panel was sure to come. 2023 saw the arrival of that model, which keeps the same powertrain and options as the GTB, but has had some mild body stiffening through the chassis so that the car feels just as sharp and direct as its coupe brother.

2024 Ferrari Purosangue

  • Base price: US$400,000 (est)

  • Engine: 6.5L naturally aspirated V12

  • Power: 715 hp @ 7,750 rpm

  • Torque: 538 lb-ft @ 3,000 rpm

  • 0-60 mph: 3.3 s

  • 0-124 mph: 10.6 s

  • Top Speed: 194 mph

The Purosangue is something that Ferrari had repeatedly stated in the past was never going to be built. They were happy letting all the other supercar and performance car companies make their silly super-SUV models, and continue on with making their finely tuned supercars. Then Ferrari customers started to ask when a super-SUV would come from Maranello, and then more customers started to ask, and the company realized that they not only had an interested customer base, they had the chance to make the perfect super-SUV.

Fast forward four years later, and the Ferrari Purosangue is on the roads today. An absolute tour-de-force of technology and power, the super-SUV carries a Tipo F140 V12 engine, the same that started in the Ferrari Enzo, moved through the 599, FF, and 812, and lands in the Purosangue at 6.5L and 715 HP. This makes it not just the first super-SUV from Ferrari, but the most powerful naturally aspirated super-SUV presently available on the market.

Ferrari Special Models

Blending a storied past with an exciting future

Current Ferrari Cars - Special Series

While 2022 and 2023 saw the excellent Monza SP1 and SP2 Icona cars, and the Daytona SP3, all three limited editions have been sold and built. In their stead, Ferrari has created the two new cars for the Special Series, the SF90XX Stradale and Spider. Unlike most other XX models which are racing versions of the road cars, these two new cars are the first XX series to be completely road legal. This has been done specifically so that these models can visit road courses such as La Sarthe (Le Mans) and the Nürburgring Nordschleife, which when not in use for industry or racing is a public toll road. 799 units of the Stradale and 599 units of the Spider will be built, and all were pre-allocated to invited Ferrari customers.

Ferrari 2024 Model List: Current Lineup, Prices, & Reviews (16)

2024 Ferrari SF90XX Stradale

  • Base price: US$844,000

  • Engine: 3.99L twin-turbocharged V8 + 3 electric motors

  • Power: Combined 1,016 hp @ 7,900 rpm

  • Torque: Combined 593 lb-ft @ 7,000 rpm

  • 0-60 mph: 2.3 s

  • 0-124 mph: 6.5 s

  • Top Speed: 200 mph

As with all of Ferrari's special series cars, the SF90XX Stradale takes the regular road going SF90 Stradale, and turns everything up to 11. It gains 30 more HP than the road car, as well as has vastly improved aerodynamics and downforce to stick it hard down to a track when in race mode. In Stradale mode, however, it reverts to the same dynamics as the regular SF90, albeit with a much more aggressive look and feel to it. It also absolutely catapults itself to 60 MPH in a scarcely believable 2.3 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than the standard SF90. It is all of Ferrari's racing knowledge and prowess, distilled into the first XX car to be road legal, and it promises to be one hell of a ride.

Ferrari 2024 Model List: Current Lineup, Prices, & Reviews (17)

2024 Ferrari SF90XX Spider

  • Base price: US$932,000

  • Engine: 3.99L twin-turbocharged V8 + 3 electric motors

  • Power: Combined 1,016 hp @ 7,900 rpm

  • Torque: Combined 593 lb-ft @ 7,000 rpm

  • 0-60 mph: 2.3 s

  • 0-124 mph: 6.5 s

  • Top Speed: 200 mph

Essentially the SF90XX Stradale with a removable roof, the Spider has been engineered to be like the F50 car from the mid-1990s. Namely, even with the roof off, it does not create any more drag than the Stradale version, through clever air shaping and an "air skirt" created over the cabin by the front hood louvres. It will still go like absolute lightning and matches the Stradale in all performance aspects, although it weighs a few kilograms more due to needing to stiffen the monocoque a little more to handle torsional forces.

2024's Best Ferrari. Our picks for the best Ferrari supercars this year.

Ferrari 2024 Model List: Current Lineup, Prices, & Reviews (18)

1st Place - 2024 Ferrari SF90 Spider

The SF90 Spider remains our 2024 pick for 1st place. It costs well over half a million dollars, but you'd be hard-pressed to fault Ferrari for that. The SF90 Spider is bristling with cutting-edge automotive technology. It keeps the car at the top of its class by some margin. Then there is that hybrid powertrain squeezing out almost a thousand horsepower. Add that to the allure of open-top driving, and you've got a package that's almost too good to resist - if you've got the cash, of course.

Ferrari 2024 Model List: Current Lineup, Prices, & Reviews (19)

2nd Place - 2024 Ferrari 296 GTB/GTS

The new Ferrari 296 GTB & GTS models take second place because they show that the Prancing Horse is willing to innovate and evolve with the changing supercar market. What used to be the purview of just the higher-end clientele who bought a SF90 is now available for "normal" Ferrari customers, albeit with two cylinders lopped off the engine and the electric motors dialed down some. It still produces a whopping 820 HP, and you now have the option of having that power and speed in a coupe body or a fun machine with a removable roof panel. It's got the power of an 812 GTS, for over $100k less, and is only $15k or so more expensive than the F8 Tributo it replaces. That is what we call a win-win scenario.
